Turnip Report
I ran out of empty cream cheese tubs before I ran out of celery, so only froze half the celery. I need to either host a bagel party or break tradition and freeze celery in tupperware. Most of the parsley went into an ice cube tray. We'll see whether it comes out again nicely.
This week's ratatouille contains no green pepper -- that was an error in planning on Tuesday evening. It doesn't taste any worse than usual, and there was only three pints of it, so I'll declare that a victory.
I think the last batch of beet bread wasn't well enough stirred. I'm not ready to feed the stuff to outsiders, so right now I'm making tasty tasty triple ginger cookies for some friends of mine who are having a hard time.
The tomatoes started to go bad, so yesterday I made some tomato pappa. It's good to have gotten over my dread of peeling tomatos.
