When I play World of Warcraft I tend to gravitate toward groups that have a lot of slack in their operations.  We don't kill the final bosses, but we have fun.  Because of the way the game is updated, this means that there are bits of the game universe that I've never seen -- they went from too hard to too easy without ever being just right.

On Monday my room mate informed me that there was a group forming to do some of those now too easy encounters that I've wanted to see for months.  I really wanted to go, but for technical reasons couldn't go through the usual channels to sign up.  But that's ok, I managed to contact the organizers and get myself listed.

Last night I discovered that rather than the last half of a leisurely retro tour of easy content, the plan was to start from the beginning and do everything the hard way.  This was not the sightseeing trip I had planned!

The up side:  I did get to see Mimiron and his choo-choo train.  We got 70% of the way to a very spiffy reward for a very difficult job.

The down side:  It was *hard*.  Also, now I want to go back and finish.
