Beating Farmshares Into Food
Apr. 2nd, 2011 12:34 pmToday marks a major triumph over the farm share. I have reason to hope for an end to my torment of turnips.
I visited
chenoameg this morning and left a gallon and a half of vegetable broth simmering on her stove.
Here at home I used 1/2 c yoghurt, 1/2 c milk and 2/3 c. grated smoked cheddar to make a turnip edible, and then turned 4 oz. cream cheese and 1 c grated cheddar in some potato soup. I still plan to make borscht to go under the sour cream, but that's not happening quickly.
