Turnip Report
Apr. 10th, 2011 09:54 amThe long awaited borscht is here! I think the exotically colored beets are aesthetically not the right base for it, but I expect it will taste fine.
I'm down to one large turnip, half a very small cabbage, some moldy garlic, and a whole lot of potatoes. It felt good to empty and clean the Drawer of Intimidating Roots.
The turnip will probably be roasted with potatoes and onions, and the cabbage may be boiled with potatoes.
