Eventually

It might be time to do some of those things I've been putting off.

The promised 10 pound cabbage weighed in at 15 pounds. In my family, Christmas is about cabbage. But this was a bit much.

Pre-Christmas, I made carrot bread, cabbage pierogi stuffing (using 6 or 7 pounds of the cabbage), ginger cookies and vegetable broth.

On Christmas day I made the pseudo-Ethiopian cabbage, carrot and potato dish I like so much. It came out rather dry, and the potatoes took forever to cook. I may have added too much cabbage?

Then I made saag paneer. I've located the stealth Indian grocery near Market Basket and the rice was only a little watery.

The freezer is full and I still have 7 pounds of cabbage, a giant turnip, and lots of carrots to deal with. I could use up some of the broth and bread in the freezer by making soup, but then I'd have to store the soup...
