Turnip Report
Jan. 31st, 2015 08:08 pmI've roasted the last of the turnips! I tossed them with carrots, potatoes, onion, frozen parsley, olive oil, garlic powder and kosher salt. They tasted fine.
That leaves only the grated frozen beets, plus lots of frozen celery and parsley. I seem to have trouble telling it apart from the purple cabbage, but once I get that sorted I think I've found a modification of the chocolate beet tea loaf that I like.
I made the ginger, cardamom and white pepper variant as a dozen muffins. They took about 20 minutes to bake, depending on their size. They taste surprising, but not bad.
