(We shouldn't trust Sondheim on that point, anyway; he doesn't realize that "scone" doesn't rhyme with "bone" if you're actually English.)

Monday night all the historical romance readers were chuckling at the gun talk. Kind of like when someone mispronounces brazier.

No, he has a song about a reticule (that is, a victorian purse).
Though, he totally *would* write a song about a targeting reticle if he happened to be in the right context.
