Monopoly/duopoly/oligopoly? Extortionate? I'm not sure exactly which aspects of usury you're attempting to capture, but yeah, that's specific to charging interest.

Extortionate is a great word. Is extortionary also used? I feel like I hear the phrase "predatory lending practices" a lot. Predatory textbook publishing practices?
