Turnip report

The pickled turnips are nasty. The beets came out ok though.

I have a new blender and about three pounds of carrots, so maybe I'll try again on that cake. It was tasty, just destructive!

The parsnip gratin sounds deadly.

Steaming (microwaving) the carrots first will make things much easier for your blender!
