Word of the Day

Today I learned that "disappointed in" and "disappointed by" mean different things to me.

Oh, how so? My current impulse is that "disappointed in" is about someone who has let one down, while "disappointed by" is a milder "was not what was expected and/or hoped for", but am not sure that's actually how I use them.
