So I was lying on my couch today staring at my hand, and it occurred to me how much more I can do with it than I could the first time I remember really noticing my hands. (I think I was 6 at the time, and taking gymastics.)
Just in the past few years I've learned to make pottery, tend compost, trim my cats' nails, knit socks and lace, and cook turnips. I may not be as young and vigorous as my students, but there's so much that I can do that they haven't yet dreamed of.
And that seemed like the sort of thing I ought to share with LJ. I wonder if they put a little something extra in the tooth polish at the dentist's?
