Jun. 16th, 2013 12:09 pmLeaves with Potatoes and Spices
I chose the "leaves what can be cooked" from the farmshare, leaving me with about a pound of spinach (that's big!) and some Komatsuna to process by Wednesday.
While looking for the spinach with tomatoes and bulghur dumplings recipe in the Winter Harvest Cookbook I found one for Indian Spinach with Potatoes. The result is a sort of aloo saag with a more chili, less curry flavor than my simple saag. I think I like the potatoes, but prefer my greens pureed. The seasoning came out remarkably well considering the condition of my spice collection.
