Turnip Report

I may be done composting for the winter. The last snowstorm covered the compost bin, and there are 8 to 16 inches forecast for tomorrow.

Yesterday I made a sort of Swiss cheese, potato and zucchini frittata with dill and parsley. It's something hot and hearty that tastes like summer, and also a vehicle for ketchup. Win/win!

Owning my mistakes

I've given up making new years' resolutions, mostly because making and breaking resolutions highlights my lack of control over my life.

This year, I may actually have broken my resolution not to have any resolutions. I've been gradually growing more aware of the folly of refusing to admit error, and lately I find myself saying things like "I hit your car while I was parking" and "I broke the bathroom sink".

Or perhaps I've just hit "senile: danger to self and others" extra early.
