Pokemon Go

I've been cooking up theories for why Pokemon Go plays so differently in different locations. I realized recently that some of my observations were of server failures, not of planned play. Porter Square *does* have a pokestop on Gift of the Wind, and on my half hour walk with incense I saw the shadow of at least one un-rendered pokemon. Still not sure why I've had such varied play experiences, but perhaps it's not deliberate on Niantic's part.
