mathhobbitI've come to peace with the fact that fennel is a large amount of compost attached to a small amount of food. I now have a casserole and another year's supply of pesto.
The parsley may or may not survive to become tabouleh salad. Either way, I no longer have a giant bag of greenery cluttering up my fridge. Eventually I'll chop and roast the parsnips with onions, potatoes, and maybe some carrots. And next year, I'll presumably have a completely different assortment of vegetables to adapt to.
