Marinated fennel is mostly edible, but it's congealed and separated in the fridge and I'm not sure how to deal with that.

I've found a delicata squash recipe that includes a satisfying quantity of dairy.  (No, I'm not putting sausage on it.  It'll be either sauteed greens or sun dried tomatoes.)

Fennel broth goes well in potato soup.  (New Moosewood, very creamy.)

Instacart brought me paneer and cream, so there may soon be "saag" paneer.

I've also enjoyed eating greens with butter, cottage cheese, and Ethiopian spices.

I'm halfway through one crustless radish and potato quiche, with ingredients for a second.

I've signed up for the fall farmshare.  I can cancel any time.  As long as I stay signed up, they waive the $5 fee for delivery of things like eggs, honey, cheese, and apples.

If you take the marinated fennel out of the fridge a bit before you want it, the olive oil will re-liquify and you can just give it a good stir and it should be fine.

I can try! Sometimes I can get him to eat scrambled eggs with, but that goes over best if the "with" is cheese and/or meat, maybe herbs or peppers. He's pretty dubious about vegetables for breakfast in general, and apparently had some *really* bad quiche when he was younger.

I did. Imagine a sausage-veggie quiche where the eggs have set a bit around the sausage, but not around the veggies. Around the veggies is this disgusting liquid mess of un-set egg diluted by veggie juice. It was gag-inducing. I picked out the sausage, because beyond that the egg was untrustworthy.

I distrust omelets for similar reasons, unless I make them myself. I make them wrong to ensure that the egg is actually set. Never bothered trying to make quiche; I figured that was unfixable.

It's much easier to just make scrambled eggs and have whatever fillings on the side. Or not at all.
