Turnip thing

mathhobbit1 turnip slightly larger than a softball, diced, boiled and mashed.
1/2 t salt
1/4 t marjoram
black pepper
1 egg
Mixed, spread ~1" thick in the bottom of a small ungreased pie plate, and topped with
1 1/2 c. grated cheese (smoked cheddar and baby swiss)
Bake for 1 hour at 325.
... I wonder if it will be tasty?
Edit: Nom! Tasty, but crumbly and unevenly salted. Maybe next time add another egg, mix in the cheese, and put on a crumb and butter topping? On the up side, the cheese browned nicely.
