I guess you have to expect this stuff if you're going to subscribe to a list whose name starts with nutso-flaming. I don't know if I disagree with the statement, but I had to call out such a wonderfully provocative way of phrasing it!
If you're desperate for a word of the day, "inflammatory" will do as a placeholder.
Edit: Another good quote is "Though pathological examples can be constructed". I love mathematicians!
